“ Toji is my go to AYCE kbbq spot. The meat quality is good. I always get option B for their galbi and jumulluck. Portions in the beginning are big and then get smaller with each round. They are pricier than other kbbq spots in PDX and offer less meat selections. They also don't offer as much sides. For me, it's not a problem because I prefer to only eat the meats. Service is usually pretty good although a little slower if the place is packed and busy. The place itself is on the smaller size but cozy. Definitely a solid choice for anyone craving Korean barbecue! ”
“ When it's super busy be patient, everything here is worth the wait. Best KBBQ in Portland. Great quality meat, service is always delightful. ”
“ One of my favorite AYCE Korean bbq places in town. It has the best quality of meat options. ”
“ I always go here with my family and friends. now deciding to leave a review :) Ambiance: 5/5 a good place to eat in big groups or small! nice and clean Service: 4.5/5 staff seemed a little tired to serve us but was still super nice. food also comes out fast Food: 4.5/5 you get 1.5 hrs to eat and last call is 30 mins before end time. we usually get the combo B ayce because it also comes with galbi and skirt steak. the steak was sooooo good, a must try. a classic would be the brisket, my favorite. meat portions are really big as well. i will say, because the grill is small, it takes a while to cook the meat. food is a bit expensive because lettuce, rice cakes, corn, etc. are extra. only zucchini and mushroom is included in the combo. i do love getting the rice paper on the side to wrap my meat though, i don't think other places in oregon have this. HONEY POTATO SIDE DISH IS 10/10, and you can get refills!! overall if you want to spend a little more on kbbq come here, food is delicious! ”
“ Smaller than imagined but had to try with soo many positive reviews and a lot of hype....Definitely my new go to for AYCE!! Several variations and levels....Option C was a good choice for us but with four options a little something for everyone's budget and appetite. Kalbi marinade was great but to our surprise our favorite offering was definitely the Skirt steak!! Loved the grill with vent so very little smoke if at all...Definitely an absolute welcomed plus!! They offer a large variety of soju but had to try the new sugar free easy back!! Highly recommend...With such a sweet owner and amazing staff you're certainly in for a great meal!!! ”
“ I was skeptical coming to Toji, I've heard a lot of mixed reviews so I went into it with no expectations. I was blown away. I went with package B & was very satisfied. I came with one other person but we could only handle 2 rounds! Normally, at other places like K-Town we get 4 rounds before we call it quits. It seems like they give you a lot more meat since it isn't frozen like other places I've been to. The meat quality is a lot better & I like the grill set up. It allows the grease to drip off the meat a lot more making the meat more crispy & less soaked in grease. The banchan (side dishes) were phenomenal. Everything was so fresh & perfectly seasoned. Our server was so nice. I did notice that the rice is not unlimited, you only get one bowl per person then after that it's charged for another. I like that they had 3 different dipping sauces as well as the ssamjang. We did have to pay extra for rice cakes which is usually included at other places but the rice cakes here were the best I've had since the way it's sliced instead of just the traditional rice cake rolls. They crisp up so perfectly & one serving lasted us a long time. Seating was a little cozy, I wouldn't recommend this place for groups bigger than 4 but that's just my opinion. I'm not sure how many people must be in your party to get an additional grill. Overall, probably the best & my favorite AYCE KBBQ place I've been to in the Portland area so far. It is more pricey but the quality of meat & side dishes is a lot better. Bummed about the rice refills costing extra since I'm a rice lover but not a deal breaker unless you plan on eating 4+ bowls of rice. I will definitely be back! ”
“ Toji was absolutely amazing! It is one of my favorite Korean BBQ joint in Portland! I visited here on a Friday evening with my cousins and sister and we got seated right away! When you walk in - be prepare, you'll smell a pack of smoke Korean BBQ!! I recommend coming on an empty stomach as well if you're planning on doing AYCE. We came here for the BBQ and did the unlimited BBQ option B - $34.99. We wanted this option because in it there are galbi (short ribs) and jumulluck (beef short ribs). The BBQ came with rice, side dishes, salad, and sauces like sesame oil and ponzu. The BBQ was so delicious that we did at least 4 rounds of meats. My favorite was the jumulluck, it was so tender and flavorful. Overall the quality of the meat was great! Service was super friendly as well- he was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed/want. I'll be coming back with friends and family! Service- 5/5 Ambiance - 4.3/5 Food - 4.6/6 ”
“ I came here quite a while ago. I was just by myself, but I was craving some Korean BBQ. The side dishes were pretty decent and they had more than the other Korean bbq place I tried in Portland. The quality of the meat was great. The staff was friendly, but when I asked to change the grill that had become all charred and covered - they said they do that there. Hmm. It was a shame. Overall, it was a decent spot and the prices were moderate. ”
“ As someone whose eaten at a lot of the kbbq in the area this is a new favorite. It is a little more expensive than some but the quality of the meat is really great for the price you are getting. I went with option B and was extremely satisfied with each round. Their banchan (side dishes) are also really good here as well. We ate as a group of four on a Thursday night so service was good and not crowded but I was told by another friend that you should always make a reservation for this place. I would definitely come back here! ”
